For people all over the world coffee is an essential part of their day, and we (the husband and wife team at Minutiae Coffee Roasters) couldn’t agree more. For many years we were fans of what we considered “good” coffee, which was typically a very dark roasted coffee with plenty of added cream and sugar. However, a summer vacation to Portland, Oregon changed everything we thought we knew about coffee! We visited a variety of different coffee shops and became introduced to the exciting world of craft coffee (or ‘third-wave’ coffee) as it’s generally classified. It was a truly unique and eye-opening experience! Many coffee roasters in Portland give serious attention to the origin, art, and science that goes into making their craft coffee. All the way from farm to cup.
